At PwC, I led an initiative to upskill offshore team members for more advanced roles. I created and launched a targeted writing and editing program, delivering hands-on training in India, Argentina and Uruguay. This gave team members the skills to take on more responsibilities and make a bigger impact.
Building and mentoring a 30-member writing team across these countries was particularly rewarding, as was seeing their growth and the resulting improvement in the firm's quality.
This experience gave me a deeper appreciation for the potential people have when given the right tools and encouragement. I understood that often people can do more than what they’re given credit for. This was a real eye-opener and helped me appreciate where people are… and where they can be.
